Judy Stroh Roberts, Master Photog. Craftsman, started her career in photography at the age of 16 working in a photo lab. However, she says "Photography actually describes my life. As a kid, I couldn't read, but my grandfather let me use his camera. By the age of 10 I was developing my own prints and expressing myself through photography. In all of these years, little has changed except for technology. I still express myself through my images." Judy achieved certification in medical photography at the University of Miami and studied portrait photography at the Professional Photographers of America Winona School of Photography. In 2003 she earned her Master of Photography degree from Professional Photographers of America and three years later her Craftsman degree. She has owned a studio for 25 years and continues as a commercial, portrait and wedding photographer. Judy has taught programs and workshops at both national and international levels. Judy's credits include publication in PP of A loan collection books and the award list for best in Michigan. In 2006 she was recognized as the "top photographer in Detroit."
Janet Schneider, BFA, is a graduate of Wayne State University in Detroit where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She started working in a photo lab mastering proper print making techniques. During the time she photographed thousands of sports teams and dance schools. Subsequently, Janet joined a portrait studio refining her skills as a working wedding and portrait photographer. As a member of PPA, DPPA, and WPPI, she continues her education and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. In 2009 she was awarded the PPA Photographer of the Year Award. Also in 2010 Janet schneider received top honors at this years Detroit Professional Photographers Awards Banquet. She placed second in both wedding and senior folio competitions.
