Session Tips

Turtle necks or V-necks are flattering provided that neither is exaggerated in style. Avoid very wide or particularly deep V-neck garments or bulky cowlneck sweaters that completely hide the neck.
For close-up portraits, long sleeves are essential for teen and adults, as bare arms call attention to themselves and will overpower the face.
Women being photographed in full length should wear long skirts, pants, or dark stockings in order to keep the eye from being directed toward the legs and away from the face.
If feet are to show in the portrait, assure that shoes and stockings are in keeping with the visual intent of the portrait.
Men should be clean shaven or facial hair should be carefully groomed, with their hair cut about one week before the portrait session. Women should be photographed whenever they are happiest with their hair in relation to the time it is styled.

Q: What time should I arrive for my portrait session?

A: Arrive about 10 minutes early. You'll be more relaxed, and your session can be completely on schedule.

Q: What will my session be like?

A: In a word... FUN! You might be a little nervous at first, but not for long. Our friendly atmosphere will have more relaxed in no time.

Q: Can I bring a friend to watch?

A: Of course. If it will make you feel more relaxed bring a friend or parent along.

Q: When do I decide what portraits I want to order?

A: After you have seen your previews. Don't worry.. You'll receive a complete explanation of our preview process and time line.

Q: What if my parents and I dislike poses?

A: No Problem! We create plenty of poses to please both you and your parents. You can order from as many poses as you want.

Q: Can I order additional portraits later?

A: Certainly! We keep portrait images on file for about a year. If you re-order after that, there may be an archive charge to retrieve your photo.
